Who is North Florida Behavioral Health Partners? (NFBHP)
North Florida Behavioral Health Partners, Inc. (NFBHP) is a joint venture between ValueOptions®, a national managed care company that specializes in behavioral health, and local mental health and substance abuse providers. NFBHP contracts with Medicaid to provide mental health services to eligible members in Lake, Sumter, Marion, Citrus, Hernando, Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Levy, Lafayette, Suwannee, Union & Putnam Counties. The primary mission of North Florida Behavioral Health Partners, Inc. (NFBHP) is the delivery of high quality behavioral health services to Medicaid Enrollees.
The ValueOptions® Tampa Regional Service Center (TRSC) began operations in 1996 for the implementation of the first Prepaid Mental Health Plan contract in Medicaid Area 6, Florida Health Partners. In 2006, ValueOptions® formed North Florida Behavioral Health Partners (NFBHP), another provider partnership. Through these two partnerships, the ValueOptions® Tampa Regional Service Center (TRSC) manages PMHP services in 34 of 67 Florida counties, for more than 340,000 Medicaid members.
The goal of NFBHP has been to provide timely access to appropriate services that produce positive treatment outcomes, with high consumer satisfaction. The provider partners contribute knowledge of local communities and consumers, while ValueOptions® contributes managed care strategies and best practices.
